  1. 1Confirm you're eligible: U.S. citizen, 18 by Election Day, NY resident 30+ days, not incarcerated for a felony.
  2. 2Register online at elections.ny.gov, by mail, or in person — deadline is 10 days before the election.
  3. 3Look up your polling place at elections.ny.gov/pollingplace.
  4. 4Show up! Bring ID if it's your first time voting after registering by mail.

  • 18 years old by Election Day
  • NYS resident for at least 30 days before the election
  • Not currently incarcerated for a felony conviction
